As a Domestic Violence Survivor, I know firsthand how a life can be changed & shattered by abuse. Every day I pray for the people that I know that are going through this, I pray they find strength to survive and fight back and I pray for the abusers that they will come to the realization that they are abusers and stop the abuse! I believe as a follower of Christ its time to become more proactive in finding ways to raise awareness and to make some noise! The church needs to recognize that abuse is going on in our communities and more importantly in our churches. We can do something to stop abuse, because it is destroying the lives of men and women. WE can work together to restore one another! I know the fight is relentless, but I believe that if we come together as a church with agencies, organizations and individuals we can work to raise awareness and tackle this according to the Word of God.
