As a Francophile (though with sanity), I grieve for what is now happening in the country. It should be remembered that in the view of some historians, France - with Drumonts La France juive (1866) - was the original epicenter of anti-Semitism in Europe. Many, perhaps most of the current rioters are Muslims, but the Front National has played a deplorable role in the transmission of the noxious ideas.
