As a Performing and Visual Artist, Im eager to participate in fundraising campaigns. People in the Arts perform many times for free to help raise money for worthy causes and donate their artwork, services, lessons and the like to non Art-related fundraisers, auctions, raffles, etc. Artists throughout history have been labeled as starving artists and it seems society accepts that label as normal. There is much gratification involved with being in a business that is not so profitable. Sometimes its not about the money that drives us to succeed. But on the other hand, we do need to eat and do appreciate support from people who are not Artists. Thanks! Maria aka Mariah
