As a business owner, I feel privileged and honored to have taken some of my skills to the community on Tanna Island in remote Vanuatu this week. The volunteer team of nurses and willing helpers who make up Bridging Health have followed a young nurse Sherrie Lee into the jungle to offer support, resource, education and care to the locals on Tanna. Highlights include: assisting in the laundry, seeing the group bond and build relationships with each other and with locals, sharing my testimony in a local church and joining in their praise and worship (they sang a Hillsong song of course), witnessing the generosity of two young hearts in our group as they agreed to personally find a university degree for a local girl with a big dream, witnessing local custom in a small Tanna village, meeting children and teacher today at Sama Sama school in Vila. Reminded all week that there is so much need, so little required to make a difference and blessed by open, loving kindness. All business men and women could do with a trip like this. We have a responsibility to use our business as a vehicle to help others in need. If youd like hp figuring out how, I would be delighted to work with you to figure that out.
