As a chef this morning I decided to have a “English Breakfast” - TopicsExpress

As a chef this morning I decided to have a “English Breakfast” bap, which consisted of: 1 x Burger Bap (approx 5 inches) 2 x Grilled Sausage ( Cut lengthways after cooking) 2 x Grilled rashers of sweet cured back bacon 1 x Round of black Pudding ( 1/2 inch thick) 1 x Grilled Field Mushroom 1 x Hash Round All topped of with some tomato Ketchup. I had debated a fried egg but decided against it as im not a great lover of eggs and they tend to repeat on me. Whilst this looked very tasty I came to endure problems when eating said bap. The structural rigidity of my tasty morsel was less than satisfactory than required as bits began to fall apart. I built the bap as follows: Bottom of bun (Toasted) Sausages flat side down Bacon Black Pudding which I halved to create more surface area Mushroom Hash Round Ketchup Bun Top also toasted After much deliberation with another chef who is also a member of this group( Andrew Summers), we both agreed that this was possibly the best way to make it but obviously it wasn’t. We have now challenged ourselves to find the perfect stacking order of said ingredients to maximise rigidity and ease of eating.
