As a child, did you ever try to convince your mom into letting you eat your dessert before your meal? If we were allowed to eat all the dessert we wanted before our meal we wouldnt have had room for the nutritional value found within our meal. When we eat our meal first, we have that reward (dessert) to look forward to. How often in life do we want to move straight to the accomplishments and skip over the hard work? School work isnt fun, but its feeding our mind with valuable knowledge we will need throughout life. Starting out on the low end of the totem pole at work isnt fun, but it provides us with experience that will help us later on. Successful people got that way by doing the hard things first. If we gained all our achievements in life without having to do the hard things first, we would have nothing to look forward to.
