As a die hard Pats fan people love to hate because you know, weve been the most dominant team in sports in the 21st century. No question. But people just cant handle that fact so they try to find something, anything to diminish that success. Which is sad. Remember back in the day when the Patriots were new. New quarterback, new stadium, new owner. Tom Brady was young and people liked him. He was the underdog. Well it only took a few years of success for people to get tired of it. They werent underdogs anymore. Probably after the 2005 season, when they won the AFC East once again, was when most people started hating because they were STILL THAT GOOD. Reaching the AFC Championship in 2006 was when people lost their minds. The next season the infamous spygate scandal. Now I know its against the rules but to put into perspective of how ridiculous the story became listen to this. In 2000 the Green Bay Packers were caught doing a similar thing. After a few apologies it was done. Because they went 9-7. No one even knows Mike Sherman did that. In the 2010 the Broncos (Yes, your beloved Denver Broncos everybody) did THE SAME THING. They lost no draft picks and were fined $50,000. The PAtriots in 2007 DID lose a draft pick AND the head coach was fined $500,000. So since its happened multiple times why dont people talk about them? Because there success didnt last. The Patriots finished the regular season undefeated. But haters came everywhere saying it was because they cheated. The reality was that was one game against the lowly New York Jets. The real reason they are hated is because they are good. Period. Think back to Super Bowl 42. How many of you were rooting for the Giants to knock of the Patriots? Thats my point, EVERYBODY WAS. But thats something the New England Patriots have just accepted. In fact they adopted the motto Do Your Job and Ignore The Noise, meaning dont worry about what everybody else is saying, just worry about what you can do. If you do YOUR job then well be well off. After the undefeated season Tom Brady tore his ACL causing him to miss the entire 2008 season. Ive never seen so many people happy a player got hurt. Everybody was so happy he couldnt play. Even without the greatest quarterback of all time the Patriots finished the season 11-5 because the players just focused on what they could do.Brady came back in 2009 and immediately won the AFC east again and out came the haters. Looking for something to taint his success. They love making fun of his life, his supermodel wife and different hairstyles. The Patriots have won the AFC East every year since then (6 straight) and have gone to 4 straight AFC Championships. They are going to their 2nd Super Bowl since the 2011-12 season. And now Brady is in his 6th Super Bowl, the most all time. You would think that would silence the miserable haters but they keep digging for something to diminish him. And here we go, last week complaining about the unique formations they used so much that the NFL actually had to publicly come out and say it was legal. And this week.... wow.... you thought youve heard it all. You thought you heard the craziest of them all but no... The Colts who were humiliated 45-7 came and complained about the inflation of the balls.. The balls the Patriots used in the AFC Championship were slightly under inflated... Hop on haters, you have life. Start hating again because maybe THIS time youll actually prove that Brady is a bad quarterback. Well lets take a look at this. In the Divisional round of this years playoffs the Carolina Panthers were heating their balls using heaters on the sidelines. This is illegal. NFL rules say you cant tamper with the balls. Aaron Rodgers, in support of the Patriots said that he always OVER inflates the balls, which is also illegal. In 2002 the Tampa Bay Buccaneers payed ball boys an extra $7,500 to deflate their balls. They won the Super Bowl that year. None of these 3 have had any penalty or publicity. Former NFL quarterback , Matt Lieinart said Every team tampers with footballs. Ask any QB in the leauge. This is Ridiculous!! and hes right. this is ridiculous. The Colts Tight End Dwayne Allen tweeted to the NFL (this) is not a story. They could have played with soap for balls and beat us. Simply the better team.hes right to.. Boomer Esiason said It really does seem totally ridiculous that this story has been blown so far out of proportion.... just realize that everybody is doing the same thing. The Patriots have been hated because they are good. The haters use cheeting as ammunition. Not the other way around. My team is going to their 8th Super Bowl.
