As a die-hard supporter of the national team, Id like to take this opportunity to wish the captain of our ship, Chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza, a very happy birthday. This mans visionary leadership has given birth to a revolutionary team that has produced some of the greatest players the football fraternity has ever seen. For many of us who grew up on the dusty streets of Soweto, soccer was part of our culture. A Kaizer Chiefs vs Orlando Pirates derby defined the height of our unity as a community, because even as we supported rival teams, we were united in the love for the beautiful game. And indeed, Orlando Pirates Football Club, under the decisive leadership of the Iron Duke, has littered history with many moments of sheer brilliance and raw talent; moments that will always have a special place in the archives of our history. Have a great one, captain of our ship, leader of the revolutionary national team!!
