As a fan of the accused band, I know for sure that theyre lyrics do not condone and promote violence and suicide. Are they disturbing? Sometimes they are, but no more so than youre average metal band. Those who know the band well also know that they do have some very uplifting lyrics in their catalogue too. Ive been listening to this band religiously for the better part of 15 years and not once thought of taking my life or someone elses. Rather, when Im down or feeling crap, this music makes me feel so much better about myself. My heart goes to the family of the lad, its very tragic and upsetting that something like this has happened. But please, everyone reading this story, do your research before branding a style and genre of music as a suicidal cult.
