Its a mystery the way some of our leaders of today lack focus, decorum, consistency and have completely deviated from the path of honour, the glorious path of the Men of yester years, whose labour the present crop of politicians are destroying with impunity. Nothing could have prepared me for the bombshell dropped by former Governor Shekarau right on his political carrier by declaring for the PDP ! Until that eventful day, i never thought the man is capable of committing a political suicide of such magnitude, until that day, i believed Shekarau is a politician with people at heart, but with his recent blunder, he has potrayed himself as someone now in politics for personal agrandisement. His recent actions says it all, it is not based on ideology, neither is it in respect of his co-travellers wishes, but purely on sellfish reasons. If Mallam Shekarau left APC to form a new Party, no one will raise any dust..........but PDP ? No ! Not the Party you swore to publicly stay away from for as long as you shall live, even if everyone in Nigeria will be in it ! The worst case scenario is that Mallam Shekarau by this singular action have abused the Title of Sardauna confered on him, considering the legacies of the Original one, Sir, Ahmadu Bello of blessed memory ! Mallam should realise he was a classroom teacher, a former Governor and a traditional title holder, if this attributes do not inspire him to make sound judgements, then i wonder what else will ! A true and sincere leader never opt for the easyway out, but fight to the end.
