As a long time Grandville resident, I cant help but be sad that the voters in our neighboring school district once again said No to their millage request. The district made a bold and correct call when they consolidated the Park and Rogers. By voting No I feel they have sent a message that says to their kids that they are Not the most important asset in the city. Our district has been behind the times for years until the voters Finally woke up and decided that the mark of a strong community is its public school system. By voting No the message screams for parents to look elsewhere for the sake of their kids. Hopefully the many voters who voted Yes will continue the fight and educate the No voters on why this was so important. To the teachers and administrators of Wyoming, keep the faith and continue to provide the education and guidance that each child deserves.
