As a looooooong time supporter of saving the whales, and while I am happy at THIS decision, I must admonish folks: Dont rejoice yet, theyve cancelled THIS year, and only the hunting in the Antarctic region. Hunting is still going on in other areas of the world by the Japanese and others. They also said could be back to it next year. This isnt a permanent shut down. And part of the actual reason why theyre cancelling, not really because of the UN, its because a bunch of folks sent them snarky letters and sent out pamphlets amongs the regular citizens, asking and telling them, Youve just released the nuclear contaminated water from your plant into the same ocean those whales are swimming in.
