As a member of the Flyer Pep Band in 1990, along with David Tavener, Michelle Lamers Tavener, Michael Wright, Sean Halloran, Anne Walasinski-Hohly, Lynne Heiman Castle, and Steve Pollock I remember riding on the bus with the No 12 seeded Flyer Team after the close loss to No 4 Arkansas in round two of the NCAAs in Austin. Quietest bus ride I have ever taken. As a member of the Flyer Pep Band, I also felt like a part of the team, and thus I took the loss pretty hard at the time. I cant imagine what the 2014 band members feel like now. But years from now, I bet they will be talking about this WILD ride with only fondness and with no regret. I am so proud of our Flyer Pep Band. I appreciate the time they have put into this venture, proud of the integral support they provided both musically and as the Red Scare on the Road to the Final 8, and kudos to them on how well they represented our University and its Fans/Alumni during this rememberable 2014 Madness in March. In no small way you helped to make this happen!
