As a mom this is what I say to my kids....wish I could do it rolling the red ball the way she does it...I am sure my kids would take me more seriously...instead they also have to feel the pressure of a more closed minded culture where the idea of success does not always contemplate the idea of doing what you love (even if does not make you super rich but confortable) but do what makes you rich (even if it does not make you superhappy but buy you a lot of things)! too much competition is the death of freedom and imagination! As a young girl I had problems concentrating so I was brended as constantly daydreaming and worse, I wanted to be a ballerina but I was not given the opportunity to follow that call and because I was too young to provide myself with that it just never happened....then I grew up and after a few jobs I wanted to sail so I got summer jobs sailing(as crew) for two summers in Italy..... then I wanted to sail the world so I looked for boat in need of crew and left to go very far....I was called crazy, then I fell in love had kids and wanted to stay home and raise them full time giving up all the other calls and I was called dedicated...now the kids have grown and looking back at the fact that I chose to stay home to raise my kids I am called boring housewife even though I am not so bored as I have a red ball inside that keeps me unbored, I have great friends with who I exchange laughter and sorrow and words and ideas and travles a times...no matter what we do someone is always ready to judge us...even though it may seem like I have not accomplished much (it seems like being full time mom is nothing) but when I look back I see that have followed all my calls as they came...even loving my kids enough to give up any carreer I may have had was at some point my red ball...but if I let it roll soon there will be a new chapter....cant wait to see where the red ball is going to take me....I just want to say that there may be more than one red ball at different times in your life...if you follow it it is always going to take you where you want to be! One day you are left only with one thing...regrets or no regrets...follow the ball and screw the ones who judge you!
