As a mother of 2 girls (now women) and 2 boys I have always noticed the difference in attitude and expectation between my mothers generation, my generation. and my childrens generation. I am hopeful as time goes by that gender equality will be achieved. My daughters didnt seem to notice gender inequality until late teens. My son just asked what I was watching and when I told him he said I didnt know their was gender inequality. I think that is because we come from a non-traditional home and he sees the strength of his sisters, his mom and dad in untraditional roles but still happy and successful. Actually I dont even know if they know our roles are different than traditional roles which speaks for itself. Regardless of your feeling about feminism which is such a loaded words, watch Emma Watsons video. It is about what we all hope for all our children.
