As a professional driver, whos away on the road for days at a time, its an extra special feeling of self-loathing that I feel, after having furiously searched high and low for my car keys; tearing apart cubby holes and junk drawers; checking and double checking several coats, jackets, and clothes in the dirty laundry; desperately contemplating calling the former owner of the car, in hopes that they might still be in possession of a forgotten spare set; quietly resigning myself to the fact that they were probably lost days ago, a thousand miles away, and that the resolution to the problem could potentially cost hundreds of dollars in fees to purchase a new key fob, have a new set of keys made by the dealer, and possibly even having to have new locks installed... only to discover them in the most innocuous of places, barely out of sight, and easily within arms reach from where I was seated when the search began.
