And Celia was her name. I was seven when she slammed CC. My family lived in Calallen. My parents, little sister, granny and grandpa rode her out in the kitchen tucked in behind a cabinet/bar. A 2x4 came through our living room window so dad and grandpa removed a door to put over it. We did go out, quickly, to survey damage during the eye. Blue sky, calm...but strange feeling. When the backside hit, our garage collapsed, as did the neighbors. Some weird finds when all was said and done - on top of pile of debris was a record album, in its sleeve, which my mom still has to this day - the soundtrack to 2001, a Space Odyssey. Well never know where it came from, or how far it traveled.
