As a registered nurse, I take care of a lot of sick people. Supporting patients and families as they battle illnesses can be very difficult and rewarding at the same time. What amazes me the most is the strength of a child. They are so small and so innocent...yet they can go through illnesses, tests, and procedures, and still look up at you with the biggest smile and go on carefree like a child should.
