As a single mom, I know how mentally and emotionally challenging it is to raise kids and pay bills. I am grateful to be blessed with good health and great friends, compared to other single moms who had to survive cancer or other diseases twice. My friend Tan Wei Young is involved in helping to raise funds for a social enterprise called Mother and Child project. Mother and Child Project™ (MotherAndChildProject/about-motherandchild ), is a social enterprise arm of Singapore Anglican Community Services whose purpose is to provide home-based work for disadvantaged mothers and their children so that they can become economically self-sufficient. The beneficiaries are mostly single mothers with children, retirees and women recovering from psychiatric illnesses. Our Goal is to raise the targeted amount of $15,000 for the disadvantaged single mothers and women.
