Good afternoon all! Let me start off by saying, thank you and bless you all for your never ending support for Harlan and our family! The outpouring of support in trying to find Harlans Plum Kids Organic Raspberry Swirl Oatmeal is unreal. So much so that I was asked to contact Plum directly. I had the opportunity to briefly speak with Shannon today in California who has been with Plum since they only had 13 employees. She said she has never seen anything like this before- a community of fans trying to find a product. She said usually when a product is discontinued they hear something immediately from a few people questioning where the product went. With the raspberry swirl they heard nothing- until Friday. Since then Plum has had so many phone calls that they have now familiarized their call center with Harlans name. Although Plums hands are tied as the raspberry swirl oatmeal has been eliminated and can not be brought back the company is trying their best to hunt some down just like the rest of you all. Shannon told me also that on Friday they felt so moved by Harlan and the supporters that they created a care package for him in hopes that maybe, just maybe he could find a new favorite. I graciously thanked her but also explained that this has always been Harlans go to food for over a year. The boy seriously LOVES the raspberry swirl oatmeal. I know many folks are wondering what the big deal with this oatmeal and flavor is. Ill admit, if it was 8 months ago and we discovered Plum no longer was manufacturing this oatmeal Id say, sorry Harlan, youll have to try something different. But its not 8 months ago, its now and now Harlan is terminal. I know without a shadow of a doubt we are going to get the attention of someone somewhere and they are going to publicize our search and we will find this oatmeal for Harlan. It may be in a Big Lots, in Canada or in some mothers pantry. We know we can not cure Harlan, but we can make him happy for what is left of his time on this earth.
