As a woman, wife, mother and now grandmother, I have often - TopicsExpress

As a woman, wife, mother and now grandmother, I have often pondered about Mary. What was her life really like? What were her feelings, her experiences as she became the earthly mother of the Son of God? and later, through his life and ministry? In recent years, as I have begun to connect with Divine Mother, I have sought to feel the experience SHE had in sending her Son to Earth to fulfill the mission they planned for Him. She is so absent from the traditional telling of the Christmas story, and like so many, I mourn her loss and absence. There is no one more absent and largely forgotten from the Christmas story than She is. As I listen to this hauntingly lovely rendition of Mary Did You Know? set in a cave by candlelight, I think of the two mothers of the Son of God. Ancient texts indicate the manger may very well have been a cave. If so, the Son of God was literally born within Mother Earth, an embodiment of Divine Mother Herself ~ the joining of the two Mothers who from the depth of darkness together brought forth the Greatest Light ~ the Son of God. ow.ly/G7LSx I invite you to visit me on Facebook: TheSophiaWomensInstitute
