As always, we love life in Cambodia...its home. But as with every place on earth, here are a few things that can make a day frustrating: 1. Electricity out at any time of the day from one minute to several hours...no warning...especially when you are typing on your computer (whose battery was destroyed by the fluctuating electrical currents) and you are just about to click save on an important document.... 2. Water out any time for any length of time, especially when you are in the middle of a shower and covered with soap! 3. Thick red dust from the unpaved road that settles on every thing and makes it look like you never sweep the floor even though you sweep and mop it three times daily. 4. Critters that think they own my house...lizards, geckos, frogs, mice, bugs, bugs, bugs, and an occasional snake. 5. Parasites that think they own my body...you dont want me to start naming them 6. Mosquitos that share diseases 7. People who think that you have nothing else to do but meet their immediate need, and the occasional person who thinks that because you come from another country, you are obligated to take care of them so that they no longer have to take care of themselves. Each of these is a small irritation in the day, but if you have to deal with all of them in the same day.....
