As an open minded Athiest, yes I am Atheist for all those that havent paid attention, I have an opinion to share. I have heard and read of the argument between atheists and religious people about whether or not religion, or god, should allowed in schools. Well here is my answer, we need a curriculum to teach children not just christianity but all the religions and non religions. We have history, social studies, preparation for parenting, home economics etc. so why not a class on religious history? Children should not just be isolated to just one religion/non religion, they should be able to learn all of them and able to find what they feel is right for them. Every religion has a history both good and bad, children should learn everything there is to know about the religions in our societies. There are so many advantages to children learning the history of the different religions of the world, they can learn to co-exist with others of other beliefs. They will learn that no one religion is perfect and each is unique. Every person and religion is unique and, honestly, they all deserve attention and to be studied not just forced upon others. Giving children the ability to learn and chose what they want to believe you will open up a world where people respect others, and less likely to judge/ hate based on their beliefs. Future generations need a chance for free choice, we need to step up and put our stubbornness and egotistical nature aside. If everyone works together, no matter what belief or non belief you have, many people (not all but most) will get along. As Ive said before I am an atheist and I do believe in everyones right to religious freedom.
