As early as Genesis Chapter 7, we see that Yahweh made a distinction between unclean and clean animals. Notice: Genesis 7:1-2— 1 Then Yahweh said to Noah: Come into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen you Righteous before Me in this generation. 2 You shall take with you seven pairs of every clean animal, a male and his female; two of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; These are all animals that Yahweh created for man. Yet, He says that some are clean and some are unclean. So what is meant by clean and unclean? In the Book of Leviticus, known as the book of cleansing, the way to approach Yahweh is set. Leviticus, which means Yahweh called, is a book or manual of Mosheh and Yahweh’s Priests. The Apostle Shaul wrote, touch not the unclean and I (Yahweh) will receive you. II Corinthians 6:17-18— 17 Therefore: Come out from among them and be separate, says Yahweh. Do not touch the unclean thing, and I will receive you. 18 I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says Yahweh Almighty. What was the Apostle Shaul speaking of here? The answer is in the book of cleansing (Leviticus). Notice the following, and remember the words of the Apostle Shaul in II Corinthians 6:17-18. Leviticus 11:2— Speak to the children of Israyl, saying; These are the animals you may eat among all the beasts upon the land: Now, see those that are unclean to you and why. Leviticus 11:4-8— 4 Nevertheless, there are some that only chew the cud, or only have a split hoof, you must not eat these: the camel, because it chews the cud, but does not have a split hoof, it is unclean to you. 5 The coney, or rock badger, because it chews the cud, but does not have a split hoof, it is unclean to you; 6 The rabbit, because it chews the cud, but does not have a split hoof, it is unclean to you; 7 And the pig, although it has a split hoof completely divided, yet it does not chew the cud; it is unclean to you. 8 Their meat you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch. They are unclean to you. You need to read this whole chapter, but for now notice what is said in verse 7. The pig or swine, (pork, ham, pork bacon, etc.), all parts of it, are unclean for you to eat or to touch. See also Deuteronomy 14:6-8. yahweh/htmls/2-2013-Newsletter.html
