As fall moves along and winter approaches, I am thoroughly enjoying the young ladies that I see on a weekly basis. These girls all remind me of what it takes to be successful in something...no matter their age, they are all intelligent, hard working and driven. They all realize that softball doesnt end with the last tournament of the summer. Added on to that, none of them have forgotten that they are still kids, therefore they are still able to have fun with the sport of softball and thats what makes each and every lesson fun for me. I had amazing support from my parents as a young pitcher. They managed to connect me with instructors who instilled a good knowledge of the sport, a work ethic and most importantly, a love of the game. Without that love, I would not have still been playing strong at the age of 35. It is my hope that, if anything, I can instill just a speck of that love of the game in the young ladies that I have the fortune of working with. Play hard and never forget why you started playing in the first place!!
