As for me, the recovery from the procedure has been rough. They said most have extreme fatigue, but may or may not have more severe side effects. This is day 5 of being in bed. I try to walk, but I end up being buckled over due to the pain from the radiation attacking my liver tumors. Rob said the nurse told him that the tumors are really getting hit hard now. I will have a scan in 5 weeks. She said we dont want to do the scan too soon because the tumors might swell first so we wouldnt get an accurate reading. Im tough so Im powering through. Do you know whats really difficult? Being stuck in bed while the world continues on. No pity party needed...just being honest. Im grateful to be alive and to be able to fight! Tomorrow is a new day! My thought for the day is this. If youre out there carrying on with your day, and life is good at this very moment, put a big smile on your beautiful face and truly soak in the beauty of the moment. Some of us couldnt even get out of bed today, sometimes its a blessing just to be able to take a step out your front door. Im working towards that goal tomorrow.
