Well I just came from physical therapy and I learned Im a much better nurse then I am a patient :-) I guess when they said I could do gentle range of motion...it does not mean take it out of my sling and see how much I can get back on my own...it means passive range of motion, and only in certain directions and only so far. Not active ROM. So, now that my ortho doctor AND my PT gently reminded me that I have been doing way to much (only because I misunderstood what they meant), I will be going back to doing nothing with my right arm unless they do it or tell me specifically to do it. On the good side, my passive range of motion is pretty good, and relatively painless to a certain point depending on how it is moved lol. I might get the ok to lift an entire pound in a couple weeks my PT said....baby steps Billie Jo...
