As hard as it may be to believe, as sure as I was that the Dodgers would force a Game 7 tonight, I was also at peace with the idea that they might not, that it might all come to an end tonight. What hurts is that this historic season had to end like this. Congratulations to the Cardinals. As for the Dodgers, a multitude of thanks for all the thrills you provided for us this summer, for the lift you gave to my often flagging spirits. Rest up, gentlemen. April cant get here fast enough.
