As healthcare workers, we are exposed to so much because our patients are not always truthful with us. I know there are many mixed feelings about the patient with ebola that passed away today. This is not a black and white issue but an issue of blatant disregard for the healthcare workers that worked diligently to save a life only to be told that they didnt do enough. Really? There was utter disregard for their lives knowing that he suffered exposure before coming to this country and failed to immediately reveal that information to anyone. Healthcare workers live on the front line on a continuous daily basis, yes by choice, because we chose this as our career but without us theres no one to battle the front line of this war. I stand strong in believing there was as much done as possible but until you walk in our shoes youll never understand our position. When you think youre ready to stand this front line with us, by all means join us. Until then respect our profession as a whole because somebody has to do it. We work harder in one shift than many of you will ever in life. Kudos to my cohorts in a job well done always!!!!
