As history has proven time and time again, a great charismatic speaker has nothing to do with whether that same speaker might or might not be a good human being or is or will be a righteous leader. The same can be said for an uninspiring speaker. Generally I don’t trust charismatic speakers who talk like they are your savior. More often then not they turn out to be the worst and most destructive leaders. Often I trust non charismatic and not so eloquent speakers because it is more difficult for them to hide their true natures, desires and plans if they are negative. Inspirational speakers can be great people themselves, do great things and can get others to do great things but sometimes they can be misguided or delusional and thus with their inspirational speaking abilities inspire many others to do terrible and destructive things. At the end of it all words matter less then actions so lets be wise and invest some time investigating the past and present actions of those speakers. SCOTT C SHELDON, June 2008
