As i drove past one of the oldest cemeteries in town this afternoon, with head stones of each class. From sandstone to marble, some with nameplates of brass. What came to my mind was, what a multitude of people who have gone from this earth, and their bones gathered there, no longer of any worth. I thought deeply inside me, and asked myself, did those people in there, leave a mark as they went from birth till when their remains were sent here? Were they kind or jolly, did they give alms to the poor? When they left us did someone swing wide hell or heaven’s door? How many stories must be there, buried in time, some must be evil, others sublime. But i came to this conclusion that, at the end of each persons story, nothing afterwards, remains but just a stone with a name. From dust to dust.
