Today, I met a woman who lives alone in Guyana away from her family and friends. She told about her landlord raping her and subjecting her to numerous hardships such as cutting off the electricity, locking the bathroom and more. She has reported this matter and others to the police but they do not take her seriously...she feels victimised and wants justice...... I stood there in silence with a weeping heart as she bared her soul. She was on her way to court....but stopped to give her support to us.
