As i went through several pharmacies yesterday in search of something for the new mum i couldnt help but notice the droves of people flocking to these drug stores to purchase remedies for various ailments.I asked myself whether we have become a sick nation or has medical care become so dear that people can no longer afford to see doctors for a consult and would rather buy treatment over the counter.We have abandoned traditional foods and lifestyles that were more beneficial to our well being. We are engaged in a rat race to achieve the American Dream which is just a .......dream.Our kids are not spared either as they are under pressure to excel in school to be better than others.Economic stress due to the tax burden makes it worse.We can choose to live simple healthy lives without all these burdens.
