As i write,my heart burns with rage.The great time we have been waiting has come,Edo renaisance has come,the GREAT EDO RACE is being revived to realize all her stolen glory and dignity,as this generation of Edo race must become a symbol of unity and progress amongst our fellow brothers, sisters and the future generations and we must become the symbol of our future EDO NATION,remember that the most priced possesion we have in the world is our homeland(BENIN KINGDOM) with her strong ancient tradition,values and civilization,for this virtures and for the sake of our existence,we must struggle and fight with the rage burning amongst some of us,we will struggle together in one brotherly and sisterly spirit to never loose courage nor loose faith in our objectives. I must have to remind us of one important thing.Edo people must look back to thousands of years of our existences in the kingdom,our history dates back to over 2000 years,during this time our great ancestors created one of the most vibrant empire and thrived in prosperity and peace,it was a time they survived the most outstanding blows of fate,we must also survive everything the present and future struggle will bring because,it is my belief that there has always been a resilience people in Benin Kingdom and that strenght flows in our veins. We must look at the future with unshakable confidence because our great ancestors have graduated from the toughest schools and human conditions known to the world (From invention of technology,science,medicine,art to war planing and numerous victories in the battle field). When you sacrifice for your people and homeland,one is bound to walk with his or her head up in great pride.I expect every Edo patrioct with sense of character and decency to understand and march with us in our struggle to preserve our core existence as a great people, as i can affirm that our struggle is being evolved into a united idealogical struggle.As an Edo patrioct i will never rest until the plaque imposed on us since 1897 till date is completely removed from our original way of life.We are not their colony.we are an independent people with true vision to do thins in the EDO way. Its time for us to reinvent ourselves as a people with true Edo ideology and it must be an uncompromising pillar of our unity and struggle to victory.For this make my heart and soul burn with rage whenever i look upon our history,i feel ashamed how my people live today. Havent we all suffered the consequencies of these aberrations of Edo unity, our ancestors value system,spirituality,ethical codes and moral principals?If we hold onto these precious virtues ,there will be no forces in the world that can take our dignity,indpendence,pride,honour, respect, civilization and progress from us. EDO is not demanding for survival but to live and reorganize itself in the Edo way and for the interest of her people to reposses their stolen glory. My belief in Edo Nation is unstoppable not even death can stop me. Oya aya simwien evbomwan!!! OBA GHATOKPERE!
