As in 1974 I told my story to the Christchurch Press and hence this article. And very happy to say that the bike has found a new home with a deserving18 year old in Bluff. Single parent family he works delivering advertising etc. That was on foot and having the bike should hasten that work and, as well, he is now able to bike to a second job where previous he needed a ride. Thanks to Lex at the Bluff Backpackers for helping locate just the person I was hoping to find to give the bike to.
