Getting ready to help serve brunch to the ladies at Trace Ridge Baptist Church, Ridgeland, MS. I miss getting to serve in church! Just an observation, but in most (Baptist) churches the majority of the work of the church is done by the women. Probably 80%, actually. And then the men of the church fill the high profile roles. That is not healthy, or biblically sound. It seems to me that the healthiest churches have excellent and responsible servant-leadership from the men of the congregation. We searched for a long time for a new church home when we moved away from Versailles Baptist Church. Sage advise from the former pastor there, Dont try to find a replacement for VBC you cant do it. Every church is different. Thank you, God, for helping us find a church where we are held accountable and encouraged to serve and grow!
