As in a vehicle, words are the steering of any relationship. They determine where the relationship is headed. In the same way you would hold the steering very firmly while looking forward, not backwards, you must Mind your words to make sure they are sound and forward-looking, and not focused on your past. How lovely it would be, if more people will remember and show appreciation for the good done to them in the past, than they will lament and reference past mistakes and errors. The Yoruba people from Nigeria has a culture of lavish gratitude. If you do them a favor today, theyll thank you repeatedly; but it doesnt end there. The next day they see you, theyll start all over again, Thank you for yesterday! Same for the day after tomorrow, and it goes on just like that.
