As many of you know I work often in respect to the design and development of various curriculums. I also work with differing collection techniques for writing papers, articles, and even textbooks. Lately I have been working and collecting data in regard to the internet as a tool of innovation in the exchange of ideas and the impact of social media on the political process. Specifically for a journal paper in respect to the American political system and how all sides use the internet as a springboard for ideology. I have noticed, as has everyone, the negative propaganda on the far right and seen how this affects policy (or the lack thereof). I have also seen the left try to promote Americas finest values (love, caring, selflessness, etc) and then have those values misrepresented by a very far right. For example, We seem to be a country of immigrants that are becoming violent in regard to immigration. We, a people with freedom of religion, demonize various religions due to hate. We seem to have forgotten our principles and are becoming more and more divided as the far right seems to arm themselves not for real protection or for hunting game, but for rebellion and hunting the human animal. It is actually amazing the role social media plays in the process. Of course this has been known since the Twitter revolution in Iran and the Facebook revolution during the Arab Spring (just to mention two). I still have about six months work compiling data before publication: With a final look at the November elections to be added to data. Whew, thats going to be good. So, I wish to think everyone on Facebook who participated in data collection and will give date of publication and journal at a later time. God Bless. Peace
