As many of you know by now my mother Maritha Prather`s baby sister Miriam Sanders passed away Tuesday. But most of you may not know is that from the time I was 13 on I lived with Miriam and her first husband Jim and her daughter Lauren Mccall. So as you can imagine she is like a second mother to me and a best friend. 3 years ago she came to me and told me that she needed to get closer to the Lord, and buddy she was on fire. After she heard me sing at a funeral in 2009 my aunt made me promise her that I would sing at her funeral. Well a week ago Friday, she made me promise again that I would keep my promise to sing and I told her that I did not think I could. well she said and I quote. Oh Lord Michael, you know I will be in Heaven With Jesus. And 4 days later she was. It is always nice to say good things about people who have passed, but I wanna tell everyone that I have lost someone that meant more to me that I can possible describe. I love you so much mimi and I hope you love the 2 songs I sang. Give Jesus a hug because I will see you both soon.
