As many of you know, last night a gun was fired multiple times on the corner of 53rd and Belmont. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. Those responsible for the gunshots are presumed to have come from a large birthday party held at TaborSpace that night. TaborSpace is currently reviewing its booking policies in light of the incident. Some news reports have suggested that gang activity played a major role in the events last night. To our knowledge these statements are purely speculation. We will be holding a community gathering tomorrow night, Monday, January 19th, at 5:30pm. This will be a time to clarify information, share concerns, and support each other.
