There is a lot of occult activity in many churches, I have seen a lot of it and unfortunately either participated so I could fit in or just stayed and watched it go on and not said anything to any one about it not being biblical. As someone who accepted Christ as my Savior and Lord at 17 I know I am not perfect, but I feel that we the church body have passed judgment on people in the world that have not yet accepted Christ as their Savior and Lord, but we are doing many of the things in churches that we accuse others of doing. That is hypocrisy. I could not get the guts to confront or talk to pastors or other believers I saw practicing things that I know were occult like and new age as well as things that were from the Roman Catholic false doctrines I saw at some churches I attended in the past. Since I use to practice a lot of New Age stuff, white witchcraft, and goddess worship I could see many of these things were and are still being incorporated in churches that are not in the bible. I am posting this as a loving warning about false doctrines in churches rather its Roman Catholic, Protestant, non-denominational or Baptist etc there is many false teachings that we need to compare to the bible and see why it is we are believing this when God never said for us to. We also need to ask God for His truth and not just what we want to do or hear and then when He shows us truth we may have to leave any church or organization that opposes the bible. God did not call us to be religious or in denominations or non-denominational religions, He called us to be His kids thru what Christ did for us on the cross. Thats not easy as I stated before to lay our pride down and admit we can be wrong, cause we can be WRONG. The whole world needs to know the true pure gospel thats based on the 66 books of the bible and not based on our opinion or the opinions and perceptions of people or religious leaders or televanglists etc. Some things I have seen in some churches seem so silly its insane we do them and I had to ask God to forgive me for going along with the crowd and people pleasing by participating in things that are not biblical. 2 Timothy 3 New International Version 1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. 6They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. A Final Charge to Timothy 10You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured.
