As many of you know, my sweet grandmother has been living with Alzheimers/Dementia for a number of years now. Ive always had an understanding of what the disease entails and the challenges my grandma faced, but it wasnt until she moved-in with my family a little over a year ago that I truly grasped the severity and frustration of her daily life. This fall I got the opportunity to do something about it. Ive recently joined Sigma Kappa, a sorority at JMU, whose philanthropy focuses on Gerontology Studies with an emphasis on Alzheimers Disease Research. On October 25th I will be walking on behalf of my grandmother, but I need your help to do so!! Please consider donating to this cause, and helping the millions of people affected by this disease!
