As many of you know, the part I love best about being an attorney is doing jury trials. As many of you also know, I absolutely hate paperwork, and the amount of preparation and paperwork that goes into being properly prepared for a jury trial is astronomical. Even short cross-examinations require a complete review of the Probable Cause Affidavit, all witness statements, and other submitted evidence so that you know exactly what questions need to be asked and in what proper sequence. Every page of cross-examination questions that I prepare usually takes at least two hours of preparation time. Fortunately, I am nearly done with my paperwork, and I should have most of the weekend to recharge before I need to be The Man, once again. Woooooo!
