As most know by now, my father was taken unexpectedly from this world as a result of a tragic automobile accident. Although I wanted to and have tried Im struggling to find the words to accurately depict the love in my heart or the grief that I feel from his sudden passing. I am touched by the beautiful heartfelt words so eloquently spoken by so many and thank you for loving him as you do. I wont reiterate what has already been said, because I couldnt say it better! Instead I will share my last memory of him. Just days before, he came to my house for the very last time to say goodbye to my son who was leaving to study abroad. From the moment he entered the house I could see he was extremely emotional. I will never forget the hug they shared or the tears he shed as he quickly walked out the door! I chased after him to make sure he was alright to drive and gave him my own hug. Never did I think that hug would have to last the rest of my life, for if I had, I would have hugged him longer and tighter instead I let him go and watched as he drove away. Daddy, I love you! Thank you for being the one constant man in my life whom I could always depend on. Thank you for always being there and for being not only a great father to your own children, but also to mine. Just as you cried that day at my house, I will cry for many days to come. Dad, I hope you know how truly loved you are, and how blessed we are to have had you in our lives! You will forever be in our hearts!!
