As most of my friends on here shall know I’ve been trying to share what I can regarding the Amazing people of Turkey. I know some of my true friends are getting worried about me…I do understand that and also appreciate it very much, I know they are looking after me, and I also realise many friends have got fed up with me posting many different things on my FB wall. Well tonight I’ve decided to try and explain……you see I’ve just watched some Livestream from Turkey. I’m not prepared to sit back anymore and watch my family and friends be deceived by the mainstream media…not anymore. I have watched the News on ITV lately as I have absolutely NO faith in the BBC, one for the blatantly edited and sugar coated news items, that’s with the things they don’t want us to know about, and also their relentless news coverage of things they want us to believe, for example the incident in Woolwich, I say horrific for different reasons to what you may think. The MSM were happy to relentlessly torture us with the scenes from that incident, however, they report the demonstrations in Turkey as little more than a group of troublemakers that the poor police are having to deal with. Sadly the past few days have made me realise ITV not any better. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! The people of Turkey are standing together and protesting on behalf of their families and communities. Mothers and Grandmothers have now defied a call from the Government to get their families back home off the streets….what did these ladies do….they joined the protest and formed a human chain between their families and the Police….does this not tell you something?? Our MSM are LYING to us….not just about this….WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?? Turkey’s austerity measures started before ours, so let’s just say they are further down the road and have had to live with, or watch others, live with, the devastating consequences of polices put in place by their Government. This is not only happening in Turkey, it is beginning to happen all over the world. This is also about FAR more than the Welfare Reforms….this is about every disgusting policy, every raid on our personal and collective resources….this is about EVERYTHING! As much as I have the deepest admiration for what the people in Turkey and other countries are doing, as much as it gives me hope that when push comes to shove, in fact ordinary people shall stand together, these scenes also fill me with dread. I don’t want to see this happening in my country if it can be avoided. Neither do the other people posting and sharing things on FB……we just want people to realise what is going on in their own country, what devastating consequences there are for the people being affected. Now those people may not be you YET! But please believe me….give it time…it will be your turn or if not you, someone you love. I believe we have to do what we can peacefully…be that writing an email, signing a petition, going on a protest march…even if the issue doesn’t affect you…look around it will affect someone you care for. It seems to me that every issue is in fact created around money. Therefore I believe the best way to deal with such issues is to withdraw our spending. Is there not a way that we can all do our best not to spend anything…even for a fortnight? Surely as a collective and if we all came together and shared whatever we had in our cupboards, freezers etc., with family friends and neighbours we could all survive?? 2 WEEKS?? No trips to the Supermarket, use public transport, for a fortnight???? Buy no fuel…..can we not pay our Council Tax for a month??? Those of us who are not in arrears…really…what are they going to do…one months council tax missed…throughout the country one months mortgage missed..…EVERYONE REFUSING TO PAY…….TOGETHER ALL ON THE SAME MONTH……..At least we won’t be giving them an opportunity to say we are all violent and then start hammering us over the head with their batons…or having 8 policemen pounce on you, smashing their fist into your face…and then the MSM saying the poor police have such a difficult job!!!! As for your TV licence….really??? You want to fund such a despicable organisation as the BBC…despicable for so many reasons! Don’t you think the Government need to get a wake up call/warning as to who has the power. You see the wealth of the 1% has to come from somewhere……it comes from the 99%.....WE NEED TO SHOW THEM AND REMIND THEM OF THAT! I’m tired of people saying…well there’s nothing we can do about it…there is!! BUT WE HAVE TO DO IT TOGETHER…..if we don’t I fear that in the near future….we shall be Turkey. And please I really don’t want to hear that money has to be saved…what but the Government and their Corporate bed partners can keep lining their pockets, increasing their profits, their expense claims and their bonuses… I truly don’t want to hear that the most vulnerable in our country have to pay for what the most powerful have done x Much Love x x
