As most of you know I have a Keeshond, Hanna is a delight, but Keeshonds have one bad fault, they are very, very greedy, the true little pig at a trough pigging out. Well I have a friend that calls her an Oompa Loompa, Why because she is overweight and this puzzled me for a time. as Hanna is fed a small amount of doggie food and yet she was turning into a blimp. For weeks i could not figure it out, I was feeding her less and less yet she was expanding more and more. Well I have many cats in the house and to feed them I put their feed, 5 kgs of frozen mince, up on a table per day, where I believed she could not reach.WRONG!!!! the fat little darling was jumping up onto a chair and reaching over to the table would help herself to the mince. I changed the cats feeding area and all of a sudden the 5 kgs would last 2 days instead of one. Hanna , the fatty ,was eating at least 2 1/2 kgs of mince a day and piling on the kgs. Well now i have a very unhappy dog, she can only eat what is given to her and she is slowly loosing weight, but will stare at me while I am eating pretending she is starving to death.Sorry Hanna but that just does not work!!! You are on a very strict diet , I would exercise her but I have little time so food regulation it has to be.
