As most of you know, I lost my mom July 12 after a 9-month battle with cancer. I hope you will take time to read this to its end. Today I received a card in the mail with these words. Gods Gift of Time We all need a time to grieve- quiet time for reflection to sift through memories and come to grips with what has happened. We all need a time for tears not for the one who is now at peace in heaven, but for ourselves as we realize that things will never be the same. We all need a time to just be, when we can open ourselves to God and let the reassurance of his everlasting love start to heal our broken hearts. With these words, I hope you understand that I need some quiet time to heal now that I have lost both parents. I love each of you and wanted you to know why I have chosen not to attend the reunion. I need time to heal, rest, and just be. I care about each of you and wish for a most successful reunion!
