As most of you know family is very important to me. As my original family has gone I have learned that my family now includes many not related to me by blood. Many of my original opinions and prejudices grew from my family due to their influence from an early age. Most of us become classified such as the baby or the responsible one. Mary Ellen was the middle child and between her sisters and many times called Theresas other daughter because they did not remember her name. She always joked about it to me but I know it hurt her some, I know what it is like when people dont remember your name. How do we become more than what our blood family names us? Our family grew along with our opinions etc. when it included neighbors, coworkers and our Church family. Anyone who chooses to serve God belongs to the same family and in that family there are no lost sheep. We receive our identity from serving the living God as he directs each of us. FAITH, FAMILY & FRIENDS, that and a little dog named Darby got me through the darkest period of my life and has allowed me to be happy again and make someone else happy.
