As most of you know, my son struggles with addiction. My family has been through a lot in the past two years. We have cried, screamed, begged. Most importantly, weve done it together. Weve all learned a lot about ourselves and each other. We have become more aware of our role in each others lives. Has it sucked? You betcha! As a mother, I can tell you its the most helpless feeling. As a mother, I can also tell you that I have learned what Im made of. I will do anything I can for my children. I have had to learn how to let go of control. As a mother and a control freak, its been a struggle. Mike Gibbs has had to learn how to forgive and how to talk about his feelings. Aspen Rain, being her fathers child, has learned much the same. Cheyenne Tallman and her family as well have learned forgiveness ( well some of them). The impact has been huge. Jakobi is finally getting his dad. While the struggle is far from over, I know we will be ok!!! Because we are in it together! My kids are learning to love each other. They are always laughing ❤️
