As much as I hate cleaning lettuce... a salad made with fresh arugula from the garden drizzled with a homemade red wine vinaigrette can put a nice finish to the end of the day...and a great reward for my time and efforts in the garden. I was very fortunate to have grown up around my Grandparents who were Italian immigrants and inspired me to carry on a few traditions...gardening was one of them...I can still be that little boy in the garden remembering my Grandfather with his straw hat on his head and watching him tend to every weed that didnt belong there... .......Anyway.....Happy Friday to all!
